I?ve always quite fancied Lane Cove. It has an excellent farmers? market every Sunday. There?s a Firefly bar. I went into labour with Sprog 1 at the local Malaysian restaurant, Kuali (great roti). There?s also a public pool, and a pub. What?s not to like?
So I often slide my Domain app map its way to search for suitable lust objects.
And I found a doozy the other day. It even gets Husband?s tick of approval. (I?ve added two others to round the blog out, but the first one really has me going. I might even drive past on my way home from jail this morning.)
21A Johnston Crescent
What I fancy: the grass, the pool, the clean lines of the house, the setting, the enormous laundry, the enormous storage room, the pantry. Ooooh, I?ve always wanted a pantry.
What the agent says: ?A sublime escape from the hustle and bustle, this two storey family home is an oasis of calm and tranquillity. Directly adjoining Batten Reserve, frontage from council road, it frames bush views from virtually every room. Set amid 884.9m2 of lush gardens, it has contemporary indoor/outdoor living and provides for effortless entertaining.?
17 Allison Avenue
What I fancy: OK, I?ve gone off California bungalows in a big way, but the rear extension on this place has sold me. It?s fabulous. And the leafy outlook is pretty special too.
What the agent says: ?Presenting a rear addition architecturally designed by Utz Sanby, this gorgeous home blends period elegance with contemporary style and quality to provide a beautiful family retreat. It?s set in a quiet street a short walk city buses and village shops.?
18 Lihon Street
What I fancy: There?s something about this ?80s place that appeals to me. Perhaps it reminds me of my childhood home. A little internal tweaking would make it ultra-stylish and it?s HUGE. I?ve always fancied a garage, too. The only drawback ? no grassy backyard.
What the agent says:??Lifestyle ? Stunningly appointed and occupying a very private approx. 627sqm parcel, this spacious family home showcases outstanding entertaining areas and a seamless flow throughout. The airy, light filled double brick home is set on a whisper quiet and desirable cul-de-sac and is an outstanding choice for those who love to entertain. It is adjacent to Lane Cove River, bush tracks, city transport, local shops and schools.?
